I found out about The Source Bulk Foods in Brunswick by one of my friends at my local Crossfit (via instagram) *side note: don’t you just love social media for this reason alone? Anyway, after a few weeks they announced on their instagram page they were having a VIP opening night last week. I thought “Why not” and sent along an RSVP, at least it would give me a reason to go and visit!
I had to squeeze in a CrossFit WOD beforehand (as I’ve been terribly un-motivated lately), and then drove straight there (it was only a five minute drive away)… in my smelly workout gear! ;) When I turned up, Lyn one of the owners greeted me and gave me the bag above which had some goodies inside. She was lovely and welcoming, and encouraged me to chat to others and check out the goods (after all I got a little discount on the night, which was an unexpected surprise!)
I wandered around, trying out some goodies while looking (a jaffa protein ball and a mint one – they were SO good!) I also slurped on a coconut water (I was super hungry and thirsty after my workout and these filled the hole in my stomach, at least until dinner anyway!)
While wondering the isles I couldn’t help but smile at all the goodies in the bulk bins that were available; beans & pulses, flour, rice, confectionery (I tried out the spelt licorice and the peppermint creams), along with pasta, superfoods, seeds and nuts, snacks, muesli and more! I decided to pop a few things in my bag to try out. I’ve been loving yoghurt and muesli for breakfast with frozen raspberries; so I tried out cacao supermix (goji berries, caco nibs etc), toasted muesli, Paleopure no fruit muesli and some chia seeds too!
Q. Where do you buy your whole-goods/ super-foods?
