Week 6 – Actual Training (8-14 June):
So my training has fallen off the plan. Kind of. And you know what? That’s OK, I think. Well it’s OK to some extent, but I know for sure that I will be OK and that training naturally falls in peaks and troughs. It’s OK to rest if you’re exhausted, but it’s NOT OK to not do a long run because you’re hungover! ;)
I did have a legitimate excuse, I purchased a house on Saturday, and went out for drinks Saturday night to celebrate and didn’t get home till 3am in the morning! Haha! Now that’s what I call celebrating in style! But this week I had better make up for the fact that last week my training sucked! And I bailed on my plan. BIG TIME!
This is no excuse for rain, or hangovers, that’s why it’s called a plan so you STICK TO IT! Get back in the game, Ali!
Monday: After the long weekend I did 5x200m hill sprints and was buggered!
Tuesday – Thursday: WODs at Crossfit. It was a tough few days, and I was thankful that Wednesday is our “skill day”, so I could take it easier.
Sunday: I had planned on going for a long run and the weather was perfect, but as I said I was hungover and felt horrible! It was a quick run, in the late evening as it was getting dark and it was pretty much uphill/gradual incline the whole way! UGH!
