As part of Blackmores’ partnership with the Australian Open, Australian media personality and Blackmores Australian Open ambassador, Rachael Finch, shared her tips for living a healthy lifestyle. As a part of her ambassador role, Rachael is a encouraging Australians to take stock of their wellbeing, by assessing their health with the Blackmores Wellbeing Check, pledge their wellbeing goals for 2016 with #IWillBe on social media.
Here are Rachael’s tips, along with our practical ways to implement them into your lifestyle:
Rachael drinks 2-3 litres of filtered water a day. Our tip is to keep a bottle of water on your desk/on you throughout the day to keep sipping on water as you go. Keep a 750ml bottle and aim to refill it at least twice to ensure you’re staying hydrated.
Take a moment before bed to do a few stretches before you jump in.
Fill your plate with at least 60% vegetables
We suggest at least two large handfuls’ of salad or fill your plate with salad/vegetables and keep protein to a hand size serving.
Move your body everyday
Whether it’s walking the dog, walking around the block, playing with your children or hitting the gym – move everyday.
Keep a gratitude journal, or something like this ‘Sentence a day‘ journal from Kikki K is totally do-able.
