My top tip for living a healthy lifestyle is having a ‘balance’ with all aspects of life. Mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, with food and family and one’s self.
When something is out of balance it’s hard to find focus on any one thing, so be easy on yourself and eat the pie if you want to – as long as you feel happy doing it and it’s not every day. Train every day, every second day, 3rd, 4th day or once a month as it makes you happy. You’re more likely to live a healthy lifestyle for longer if you have a balanced view about it!

For me, the only way to succeed in living a healthy lifestyle is preparation. Whether it’s food preparation (to stop me reaching for something naughty because it’s quick) or exercise diary preparation – I have my workouts diarised so they are less easily-avoided! If I left it all up to chance, willpower or motivation, I don’t think I’d quite get there!
