Review: Booty Bands & Loops – Aura Eve.
One thing about me is that I have *awesome* upper body strength – but my lower body… not so great! So when I was asked by Aura Eve if I’d like to give their Booty Bands a go, I couldn’t put my hand up quick enough!
Recently I’ve stopped training hiit style training after a back injury, and my Osteo has recently told me I need to do daily glute exercises to strengthen my gluteus medius (the muscles in your booty are made up of three muscles – with the medius sitting on the outer surface of the pelvis). Basically I’ve been having hip pain, and this is the muscle that flex’s and internally rotates the hip, extend and externally rotate the hip and abducts the hip and stablises the pelvis) – and I knew that these booty bands & loops could become a part of my rehab!
So, there are two products – the adjustable Booty Bands (that have two levels of resistance; light and heavy) and the Booty Loop Resistance Bands – you would’ve all seen these before floating around your gym! The Booty Bands have clip-in resistance bands that are worn around your thighs (or around your ankles) to target your glutes using isolated exercises. You can use the booty bands in conjunction with the booty loops for extra glute activation.
So I gave these a go in a home workout that I’ve filmed and I have been using these for some glute clam exercises, and some from their workout book (Side Leg Raise) to target my glute med that needs targeting and I’ve been loving it! Anyway, I’ll leave you with this video to see just what I’m talking about!
